Here is a top-10 list of great songs to play at a barbecue or party for this coming up Fourth of July! I hope you enjoy these songs like I do. There are a ton of country songs that are very patriotic. I did include some of those but I tried to find more rock songs that are patriotic. So here is a great list of 4th/Fourth of July songs for your Fourth of July party/barbecue. Have fun out there this coming up Fourth of July.
Number 10 is...Hank Williams Jr.'s, America Will Survive. This song is a take from his great hit, Country boy can survive. If you have ever listened to that song you will understand why this is such a great patriotic song. It gets us all fired up which is exactly the way you want your family/friends to be this coming Fourth of July.
Number 9 is...Johnny Cash's, Ragged Old Flag. Johnny Cash had one heck of a way with words. You can't get any more patriotic then these words, "You see, we got a little hole in that flag there,
When Washington took it across the Delaware.
and It got powder burned the night Francis Scott Key sat watching it,
writing "Say Can You See"
It got a rip in New Orleans, with Packingham & Jackson
tugging at its seams.
and It almost fell at the Alamo
beside the Texas flag,
But she waved on though.
Number 8 is...Darryl Worley's, Have You Forgotten. This song is always good to make us remember what happened on that fateful day, 9/11. We can never forget that or we will truly forget what it is about to be an American.
Number 7 is...This next song is just a feel good song about being back in the USA. Chuck Berry's Back In The USA. We as people can never say these words too much,
Well, I'm so glad I'm livin' in the u.s.a.
Yes. I'm so glad I'm livin' in the u.s.a.
Anything you want, we got right here in the u.s.a.
Number 6 is...John Mellencamp's, Pink Houses. Good beat to this one for sure.
Oh but ain't that America for you and me
Ain't that America somethin' to see baby
Ain't that America home of the free
Little pink houses for you and me
Number 5 is...Neil Diamond's, America. Total feel good song and it reminds us of why we want to be in America in the first place.
