For most of us summer has officially begun with the Memorial day weekend behind us. Most of us want to look good this summer season but we have all probably gained some extra weight over the winter months. It's hard to exercise in the winter when the weather is bad so we tend to just sit on the couch and watch TV and eat. Now that the weather is warming up and the days are getting longer some of us are probably looking in the mirror and not liking what we are seeing. If a summer weight loss program is part of you plans you can be encouraged by the fact that summertime is actually one of the best times to lose weight. Did you know that during the summer months your appetite will actually decrease?. The days are longer so you can plan more outdoor activities and thus take part in more physical activity. Summer time is such a good time to lose weight because of all of the good food available to us. Whether it is from your grocery store, garden or a farmers market in town some of the healthiest and freshest food is available to you at very reasonable prices. Cucumbers, radishes, carrots , peas, watermelon, lettuce for a fresh salad you name it and it is probably available to you. These are some of the best foods that mother nature can provide for you and they are plentiful and ready to be eaten. These foods are loaded with vitamins and minerals and other things our bodies crave and need. And the best thing about these foods is that it is hard to over due it. Most of the foods have very few calories so you can eat until you are full and than some. Wash down these foods with plenty of water and your body will love you for it.
