I’ll admit that when I was new to Associated Content, I was overwhelmed.  I had no idea where to go first or what to do when I got there.  There was just so much to take in.  The following information was learned over the span of the four months that I’ve been writing for Associated Content.  This is information that should help you to start out on the right foot and start making money right away. I hope these tips are useful to you and help you to start enjoying Associated Content immediately.

Sign up for the Weekly Topics newsletter:  This is one of the first things I did when I was new Associated Content.  I actually joined on a Friday and received my newsletter that day.  I was able to immediately start working for Associated Content.  My first article was actually for one of Associated Content’s promotions.  This newsletter will help new content producers because it will help you to figure out what Associated Content is looking for and will supply you with lots of writing ideas.

Review the Site:  Take time to simply look over the Associated Content website and become familiar with it.  This is so important when you are new.  After reviewing the site, you will be able to quickly find the information you need and quickly submit your new articles.  When you’re new it’s especially important to become familiar with the submission page.  Click publish, choose general article, and just look at the page.  You will notice that there are many fields to be completed.  After reviewing this page, you will know to be thinking of headlines, sub headlines, takeaways, etc when you are writing your articles.  This will make it much faster and easier to submit your article after you have written it.

Thanks for the great article! I love that there are articles like yours on this site to help us newbies get started. It really helps. You tend to feel lost a first, and it helps to get advice from someone who has experience and has come out the other side a successful writer for AC. Thanks!

The forum can be quite useful, just note that there can be content producers on there who can be quite snotty. I've experienced that and now only ask questions when I have to.
