Review of Mountain Dew Voltage

Mountain Dew has unleashed three new flavors upon us so we can vote for the very best one to stick around.

I'm reviewing Mountain Dew: Voltage. It's a raspberry citrus soda with ginseng. It's part of the "DEWmocracy" trio which includes "Supernova" and "Revoultion".
I'm a big Mountain Dew drinker and constantly drink regular Dew and its orange fused flavor "Livewire". I've tried all the new Dew flavors in the past and when I had the chance to try one of three new flavors, I took the chance. I've been a Mountain Dew fan my whole life, I couldn't say no.

The can is black and blue. The usual Mountain Dew looking can. The liquid inside is blue. I was eager to try the new Dew. Would it taste great like Livewire or taste horrible like Pitch Black I & II?

Voltage was....good, really good. A fresh, sweet raspberry taste. Not very Mountain Dew tasting but something different that can bring new people in. It tastes different, in a way, to the typical Mountain Dew drink. I like it, alot.

This flavor is unique within the other flavors in the Dew family in that it was chosen as one of the 3 new flavors that people can vote on. Its exact final flavor, color, name, logo, and tag-line were all decided by an online based flavor submission contest at www.DEWmocracy.com starting in November 2007.

It was released in stores on May 19 as a limited edition flavor so that the people could taste test which flavor they like best for the national vote. If this flavor wins the national vote it will become a permanent addition to the Dew families

The soda is bubbly and has a nice sweet taste to it. It's like liquid candy. So sweet, so satisfying. Has a energy drink type taste to it, but not too strong. Most likely to keep you up at night but Mountain Dew has always been that way. Need to stay up late? Drink some voltage! It will give you that kick you need.

I've almost went through the entire 12 pack and I have to say "Damn good" and better then the "decent" Game Fuel. Fuel wasn't that great but had a decent taste.
