Planning a Kung Fu Panda Theme Birthday Party
Black and white and cute all over! Here are some cheap ways to plan a Kung Fu Panda theme birthday party. Here are some ideas for creating a Kung Fu Panda theme with crafts, food, the games, the decorations, and party favors.
Kung Fu Panda Birthday Party Games
Create a Kung Fu Panda treasure hunt. Use panda bear paw prints as clues. This can be done for an indoor party or an outdoor party. For older children, include jokes and even trivia questions about
pandas.
Transform any pin-the-tail game into Pin-the-Ears on the Panda.
Kung Fu Panda Birthday Party Crafts
1. Pretend Lucky Bamboo Plants
Have kids create their own pretend lucky bamboo plants. Purchase some cheap Chinese food box containers from the local party goods store. Kids can paint straws green and then attach pre-cut paper bamboo leaves to the straws with glue or tape. With supervision, a stapler may be used.
2. Planted Lucky Bamboo Plants
Or, purchase a bunch of real Lucky Bamboo plants. Also purchase some stones or glass marbles. Have kids decorate the Chinese food container, fill it with stones or marbles, and then "plant" their Lucky Bamboo plant as a party favor or keepsake.
3. Panda Bear Masks
Use one large paper plate for the face, and then pre-cut small black circles of paper for the ears. Provide a red crayon for the mouth and more black and white circles for the eyes.
Use a hole punch to create holes in the sides of each plate and provide string. Make sure that nose holes are cut. These are more for decorative purposes than for long-term wearability.
Kung Fu Panda Birthday Party Foods
Kung Fu Panda Whoopie Pies
Instead of a traditional birthday cake, serve decorated Whoopie pies. Decorate them to look like panda faces.
Or, make a Kung Fu Panda Cake. Use two round cake pans to assemble the panda. Decorate the panda with Oreo cookies for ears. Use other black and white foods to make the face.
You could also serve mini birthday party Sushi cakes which match the theme of the Kung Fu Panda birthday party.
