Space Aliens in Denver? Nope Possible Committee
I have watched E.T. a couple of times in the past month on Nickelodeon. I 'm guessing Jeff Peckman has too. His idea of starting a committee for greeting aliens isn't as strange as how hard it would be on a local level to fund something like that at this time. I don't know if he is just
trying to get a job or if he's trying to help the economy or maybe he knows something we don't.
We can hope that aliens will visit us. Maybe they already have. But some of us still think that the possibility of outer space visitors is a science fiction impossibility. If there are more intellectual beings out there which they would have to be in order to find us, they would probably have preferred to stay away from us. I don't believe the human race has evolved enough to embrace the idea let alone encounter aliens.
E.T. scenes would certainly come to life if an alien was ever discovered. I believe that the human race would want to dissect it after trying to communicate with it. If we couldn't communicate death of the alien would be eminent. Is that really how we still are? Looking at how we are still at war with no ideas of closure, I tend to believe the human race is still too animalistic to meet and learn from a living alien.
I don't believe committees on a local level even need to be thought of at this point. It's kind of like the greeters at Wal-mart. The greeters aren't really necessary because we would still go there anyway. We would see the cashiers, stockers, or even the managers in the store. The earth is a little bigger than Wal-Mart (but I hear they are working on that) and maybe regular citizens without scientific backgrounds wouldn't be able to do a proper job of greeting our guests but I am sure if the aliens can find the earth they are smart enough to figure out where they want to go to get the information they are seeking.
