With the Sex and the City movie hitting theaters Friday, May 30, many fans of the show are going out in still exclusively for the premiere, some even dressed as a few of the popular character from the world-known television series. My friends and I are no exception. In fact, we are seeing Sex and the City the day it comes out at 7:15 p.m. at AMC Loews Streets of Woodfield, right near Woodfield Mall, Chicagoland's most famous and largest mall.
Of course, for the sake of the Sex and the City girls, Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda, we are hitting the huge mall before hand to buy dresses, accessories and shows to wear to the movie premiere. And also because we are going to the movie, all four of us are dressing up as a character.
My dirty blonde friend Michelle is going as Carrie Bradshaw, so naturally she's going to find a low-price and overly huge wedding dress, veil and white high heels included.
Abby, with blonde hair, is going as Samantha Jones, wearing a slightly '80s and retro-inspired red, low-cut halter top dress, a fake diamond necklace, a large hat, and matching red heels.
Kate, the red-head of the group, is going as Miranda Hobbes. She'll be shopping for an off-the-shoulder patterned dress, classy black heels, and a cute clutch purse.
Finally, I will be going as the brunette Charlotte York in a black and snug spaghetti strap dress and open-toe stiletto heels with large sunglasses.
The best part of all is that we're bringing along our favorite guy friend, Matt, that night to play the always sexy and mysterious Mr. Big, Carrie Bradshaw's future husband in the movie. He will definitely be donning a black and white tuxedo to the theater and will be accompanying Michelle while she plays Carrie.
