Hallow's Eve Kids' Activities

If you have kids and live in Texas there are plenty of Halloween functions to go around:

Oct. 30th:

Hear spine tingling ghost stories by the Twice Upon A Time Storytellers at Smith Public Library, 800 Thomas Street in Dallas at 6:30 p.m.

Oct 31st:

The Annual Pumpkin Fest Carnival with games and contests for families and children will be held at Lancaster Recreation Center, 1600 Veterans Memorial Parkway in Lancaster. The event is free from 6:30-8:30 p.m. For more information, call 972-218-3702.

The Fall Festival will be hosted at Evans Recreation Center, 1116 Hillcrest Street in Dallas at 6 p.m. Admission is free but games require tickets to play. For information, call 972-285-4145.

Halloween Fest 2006 featuring carnival games, a costume contest, and a haunted house will take place at Cedar Hill Recreation Center, 310 E. Parkerville Road in Dallas. The event is $5 in advance or $10 at the door. For details, call 972-293-5822.

Historic Downtown McKinney will close off the streets for its annual Scare on the Square. There will also be face painting, hayrides, costume contests, and food vendors among other things. The event is from 4-6 p.m.

First United Methodist Church Children's Carnival will take place at 420 S. Heartz Road in Dallas. Kids can wear costumes and enjoy a hot dog dinner and games before heading out to trick or treat. Hours are 4:30-6:30 p.m. Call Jennifer Scott at 972-462-0471 #208.

The Russell Creek YMCA will offer a Halloween Trunk o' Treat in the parking lot at 3300 McDermott Drive, Dallas from 5-7:30 p.m. For details call 972-387-9622 or go to Russell CreekYMCA.org.

Allen Public Library in Dallas will host Trick or Treat at Puppet Town in the children's room, 5:30-6:30 p.m. For all the details, call 214-509-4906 or visit allenlibrary.org.

Trick or treating fun will take place at Firewheel Town Center in Dallas, 5:30-7:30 p.m. and children ages 12 and younger in costume are invited to trick or treat the participating stores at the Center. For information, call 972-675-1041.
