Ways to Earn Affiliate Commissions for Free

There are several ways you can make affiliate marketing commissions without having to spend a dime. Here are my favorite ways I have used for earning commissions for free. Most of them involves techniques known as bum marketing. Unless you are very good at it you won't make a living but most will be able to earn a nice supplemental check.

1. Publish articles. I have made commissions simply by writing articles and publishing them on article directories such as ezinearticles.com and goarticles.com. Pretty much any article directory that allows links in it is a potential sale for you.

2. Place ads on free classified ad sites. The biggest ones are usfreeads.com and craigslist.com but there are hundreds more. Some affiliates do very well solely using this method.

3. Use web 2.0 sites. Places like squidoo.com and hubpages.com are great places to earn commissions. The trick to using web 2.0 is not to sell but to give people quality information about a topic and then offer them your recommendation about the site you are promoting in a non hyped up way.

4. Forums. You can participate in popular forums and drive traffic to your affiliate review site or splash page.

Those are the basic ways you can use to earn commissions without spending money on paid advertising. I recommend using those bum marketing techniques especially for newbies simply because there is no risk of financial loss.
