I'm a traditional movie watcher. I like watching movies in the theater, not on television, so getting HBO or any other movie channel just doesn't satisfy me. This is the reason why I was late on the scene in watching the HBO dramatic comedy, "Sex and the City." I'd watched "Girlfriends" regularly and heard that "Girlfriends" was a Black version of "Sex and the City," so that piqued my interest. When "Sex and the City" released in syndication, I would watch marathon episodes of the show. I'm not sure who I liked more--my interest in Charlotte's character was amusing because we're both slightly prudish, for me basically about germs and cleanliness. Miranda's free well and hunger for something new and handsome reminded me a lot of me, minus the promiscuity. Not a day goes by that I don't manwatch when I'm taking a walk or driving. But if you looked at my career goals, spending habits, and realistic attitude towards love, I'd probably remind you of Miranda. And then there's Carrie. If I put the obvious love for writing to the side that the two of us share, Carrie is that independent woman who seems to have a man on the side but does not run her life trying to please every man. She has her own place, her own fashion style, a great career, and she's not afraid to be different. There is a reason Carrie was the narrator of every episode of "Sex and the City": women admired her. Every single character in "Sex and the City" is probably one that any woman can relate to, and when "Sex and the City: The Movie" released on May 30, 2008, women (and some men) rushed to the theaters.

Hi Herstory, thanks for the feedback. Speaking of "Sex and the City," I was in Walmart today, and there's a book out with that title, and it has the making of the movie and a bunch of photos of Carrie Bradshaw in those wedding dresses. Parker looks beautiful! I loved going through the book. I've also gone to see the movie again just to drool over Dante...and his package. LOL

Justice Lives Not, thank you very much for the kind words. I appreciate that. Foggy Notion, I'd love to see a male version of "Sex and the City." I can't think offhand of any show that has four men living their lives and so forth on a sitcom. You have movies that do it but not consistently. Great interview. My wife, a longtime fan, is dying to see it, and I just might take her, being this is our vacation and all. Good luck with the new gig! Happy trails!

I loved the movie. It was an emotional roller coaster ride that worked out for the best in the end.

It was such a good movie. I was so impressed, but there are plenty of Amazon.com reviews that completely disagree with me. I really enjoyed it though, especially Dante. Mmph, mmph, mmph. Tell me what you think of it if you go see it.
