Review: T-Mobile's New Exclusive Blackberry 8120
Just released a few weeks ago, T-Mobile introduced an updated version of its popular Blackberry Pearl brand. The 8120 is a faster, more sophisticated version. The phone is a little larger than a credit card and the giant
screen makes for great wallpaper display and a widespread view for organization. Though the Pearl came in several different colors, including a T-Mobile white version, this new 8120 only comes in a charcoal grey color. It's slim design allows for easy transportation and is almost unnoticeable in one's pocket.
It's sleek design is only the beginning of the this advanced phone. With proper service, users can access their email through Blackberry and get on the spot notifications of when a new email arrives. Blackberry Enterprise also is available for a higher fee, having access to corporate email as long as the company has it available.
The camera on the phone takes exceptional pictures and video. Many camera phones take decent quality, however the Blackberry Pearl 8120 takes crisp , 2.0 megapixel quality, pictures that are great for viewing on a computer. With a messaging service, users can simply email themselves the picture for future downloading.
Pictures and videos also take up a lot of space. Though the 8120 has 64MB of internal memory, that is shared memory between messages, contacts, calendar events, and any other ringtones or extras that may have been downloaded. Featured on top of the phone is a slot for a microSD card for expanded memory. Purchasing a card does come in handy as it allows for more pictures, more videos and is storage for data.
The Blackberry Pearl 8120 also comes with a music player. Again, it is recommended to purchase a microSD card to store your songs. Have music anywhere on the go with the stereo headset included with the purchase of the phone.
For all your music files, pictures, ringtones and any other sync option, the Blackberry Pearl 8120 comes with desktop software to help simplify your busy schedule. It transfers data files but also syncs with your Microsoft Outlook, keeping your email, calendar, tasks and contacts in sync between the computer and phone.
