While moving across the country I stopped in Colby, Kansas on the first night on the road. Of course after countless miles of interstate behind me, I had a huge appetite and wanted a Manly meal. Montana Mikes sounded like the perfect place. So I thought I would stop in and try it out. That was one of the best decisions I could have possibly made. Montana Mikes is located just off of I-70 in the heart of Colby.

The Fare
The food there is your typical all American Steakhouse type fare; it is not al a carte but close. The menu was very diverse and full of choices, but I finally settled on a 16 oz. Ribeye steak and it was absolutely Delicious. I would venture to say it was one of the best steaks I've eaten in a very long time. I had a dinner salad as well it is was on par with the steak. Very tasty Food. The food rates 4.75 out of 5 stars.

The Staff
The wait staff here was highly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure that my dinning experience was a pleasurable one. They did the typical things that wait staff do, but our server went above and beyond and made us feel as if we were the only customers in the restraunt.

The Prices
This is where everyone starts to get a little iffy, it's all about the bottom line, especially with gas prices in the $4.00/Gal ($4.75 for Diesel) one has to watch every penny. Of course moving across the country I was on a tight budget to say the least. At around $60 for two it was a budget stretcher but worth every cent.

The Location
It was right off the interstate very easy for someone not familiar with the area to locate. The only gripe I have is that the accessibility from the main road was not very simple.

Did You Know?
Montana Mikes has locations throughout the Central United States; they are often converted from previously existing restaurant buildings such as Western Sizzlin, and Applebees.
