Boston Children's Museum: Perfect Family Activity
then a visit to the Boston Children's Museum should be a definite stop, it is not only educational but it is a super fun family activity!

The Boston Children's Museum has over 20 exhibits that teach about different cultures, nature and biology. Everything is very hands on and highly stimulating to the senses. Kids can climb, build, pretend and carry out experiments. It is open to those of all ages and even has a special area for very young children aged 0 to 3, called Playspace.

Playspace is a family activity area for very young children aged 0 to 3. It has a variety of activities to help aid child development and to help parents get a better understanding of their child's developmental needs and progress. For example The Little Engineer Trains teaches children to take turns and share. The Treehouse Climber encourages independence and motor skills. The Messy Sensory Area is every kids dream, they have the chance to make a total mess with water, shaving cream and carry out experiments, and it is all encouraged instead of scolded. Playspace makes the Boston Children's Museum accessible to all families no matter how old the children are.

There are a number of exhibits that explore the different cultures in our global society. A very special culture exhibit is the Japanese House. You and your children will be able to enter an authentic traditional Japanese house, something that is very rare even in Japan. The house was presented by the city of Kyoto to the city of Boston in 1979. Today is located at the Boston Children's Museum and it is an excellent way to get a hands on experience of Japanese culture.
