High Gas Prices Will Mean a Push for Fuel Alternatives in the Future

The U.S. Needs to Be Using a Fuel Alternative to Gasoline

Soaring high gasoline prices are here. Gasoline prices have went up before, although not this high, but they went back down. This time, gas prices aren't showing any sign of dropping in cost, not now and not in the future, sadly enough.

These high gasoline prices are hard on a lot of people. These high costs are especially hard on families with children, who are earning only minimum wage or not much more than minimum wage. These families were already having a hard enough time trying to make ends meet, at the same time taking good care of their children, have food on the table, clothes for everyone, a roof over their heads, utilities to pay for, school and education costs, automobile expenses, health costs, and now - add on the extremely high cost of gasoline. I fear that this is way too high for a lot of American families.

Many people don't live on bus lines nor are they conveniently located near a bus line, and cabs/taxis are expensive. For the person making minimum wage or just above that, the cost of commuting to work and back is taking away from their families way too much of their pay check. How can people take good care of their children and themselves this way? Especially when the high cost of gasoline and traveling is going to effect a lot of people in a lot of areas, and this is going to raise costs across the board, such as grocery costs, clothing costs, department store costs, any form of traveling costs will be effected, such as plane tickets/train tickets/bus tickets/taxis, etc. The cost of trucks and trains bringing in supplies is going to rise, which is going to cause everything you buy to rise in cost. We need to find an alternative to high costs of commuting.

These high fuel costs are extremely hard on those people who drive for a living, such as taxi drivers, truck drivers, delivery drivers, etc. It is extremely hard for many of these folks to be making a decent living now with our outrageous fuel costs. In fact, these fuel costs will probably go up not down in the near future, which will make it even more difficult for these people to make a good living.
