Las Vegas, Nevada receives more than 35 million tourists a year. If gas prices continue to climb, that number could decrease dramatically, don't let high gas prices stop you from visiting the "Entertainment Capital of the World". After you spend extra money on your airfare or gasing up your car, here are a few tips to help you save some money on your trip.

1. Book your airfare as much in advance as possible.
You've heard the term the early bird get's the worm? If you've flown before you should know that the earlier you book your flight the cheaper it is. When you book early you get better flight selection and seating as well. I like to use the website www.bookingbuddy.com because you can check other travel websites through their site. Also, if you sign up for their email list they will let you know when a travel website or an airline is having a sale on certain fights.

2. Sign up for Las Vegas hotels guest lists online.
When you sign up on Las Vegas hotel guest lists, they will send emails informing you of certain promotions they have going on. They usually offer you discounts on rooms especially if you travel there during the spring and summer months.

3. Sign up for various casinos players card.
Las Vegas is not just about gambling. If you don't gamble, you can still get free comps just for signing up for players cards. This could be shows, souvenirs and discounts to their buffet. If you do gamble it will increase the amount of comps offered to you in the future.

4. Stay at a Downtown or an off-strip hotel.
If you never been to Vegas before and you want to experience Las Vegas at a fraction of the price this is your best bet. Hotels such as Binions, El Cortez, Gold Coast and Orleans offer you more for your money. Their rooms are cheaper and you can get better deals on food. Some of these casinos even offer free shuttles to the major part of the strip. How can you beat that?
