My College Days
College days are the most enjoyable and important moments in a person's life. Now that I have completed my studies at college and am moving on to a University, I really feel that I am missing those fun-filled days spent at my college.
Shifting from the primary level of education to the secondary level is both exciting and stressful. I say exciting because we will meet new people in a new school and stressful since we will leave all our friends who have been with us since childhood. My first day at college is still vivid for me. I was now going in a completely new surrounding with new friends and new teachers. As it is, transition is the norm of life. My mother accompanied me to college. All the parents and teachers were welcomed by the rector who had a pleasant attitude. The students were then directed to their respective classrooms. I slowly got used to the routine of having a morning assembly by the rector followed by the usual attendance and then a different session of the subjects. Everyone was friendly in the class and I easily made new friends.
As years passed, I found true friends in the class who stand by my side even today. My best friends always support me and explain me whenever I am on a wrong path. At college, all the days were full of fun and mischief. We had a good sense of humor and fought any problems we faced. Many extra-curricular activities were organized at school and we never missed a chance of participating in them.
Besides friends, I have come across many teachers. We know that teachers play a big role in inculcating values and imparting knowledge to students. Some teachers at college were friendly whereas some were strict. But all of them created a pleasant atmosphere in class and ensured that the students understood their points. Even the students never hesitated consulting the teachers for their queries. A good environment is inevitably very important to enhance learning.
