My Quit Smoking story

I am writing this article in hopes that it will inspire others to kick the habit. I smoked for 35 years. If anyone had told me that I would quit, I would have laughed at them. I never would have believed I would be able to quit . For One, I enjoyed smoking .Till I developed that chronic cough . Also, the getting out of breath and wheezing and all that every time you were very active. See, what we don't think about when we are young is, we may be enjoying it now, but when we get older ,we are enjoying the after effects a lot less. The thing with smoking is you can't see the bad effects till they have already done the damage.

I decided I guess a year or 2 before I quit that I was going to! I was in the local health department one day with my kids for shots and picked up a red covered book called "Quit Easy". I had gotten to the point by then that I coughed all the time .I was always out of breath it seemed. I had chronic bronchitis.
