Neil Patrick Harris Welcomes Brittany Spears with Open Arms

Brittany Spears has already tried to revive her plummeting career via a couple of guest appearances on the TV show, "How I Met Your Mother." This show stars Neil Patrick Harris, of Doogie Houser M.D. and Starship Troopers.

He's told people.com that Brittany Spears is welcome to return to guest star on "How I Met Your Mother" anytime she wants. Neil Patrick Harris has even hinted that this welcome back for Brittany Spears maybe coming sooner rather then later do to some foreshadowing of the script. So Brittany Spears may end up again on the small screen along side of Neil Patrick Harris, but what has this really done for her?

When I originally read the Brittany Spears would be making a guest appearance on "How I Met Your Mother," it did spark my interest. I usually do not watch this show, but with the chance of seeing a train wreck, of course I tuned in. I have seen many a star down on their luck try to revive their career on TV, only to see it come crashing down in flames that much faster.

This was not the case for Brittany Spears. It was like the role of the ditsy receptionist was made for her. Brittany Spears made the best move that she has done in a long time for her career.

In two little guest appearances, she managed to get her name out of the spotlight for negative reasons, and refocus on the positive things that she brings to the table.

Brittany Spears may not be the same fresh-faced little girl we fell in love with in the '90s, but it is still good to see her succeed. I am excited to hear Neil Patrick Harris speculate on a return trip for Brittany Spears to the small screen. I will again tune into this TV show that has breathed life back into Brittany Spears' career.
