Surely, everyone has heard about Creatine.  Even though many of us have heard about it, very few individuals actually understand what this supplement really is.  It seems that the majority of people are split down the middle when it comes to the use and effectiveness of this supplement on ones body.  Half of the individuals will never touch the stuff, because they say that it is dangerous, etc.  And the other half of society is currently embracing this supplement.  But which one is right?  Is this supplement really safe for one to ingest on a regular basis?  Well, I sought out the answers to these questions, and have written down my findings.

I suppose the first thing I should do is tell you what Creatine actually is.  Creatine is a naturally found in meat - specially in red meat.  However, Creatine is also naturally made within ones body, a typical male will process two grams of creatine per day.  Creatine is used by the body to rebuild ATP, which is Adenosine Triphosphate.  ATP is what literally drives muscular energy.  When a muscle is low on ATP it can no longer contract, thus making Creatine an important supplement for your muscles well-being.  There are several different types of Creatine available on the market, however, the most commonly used - and most recommended - is Creatine Monohydrate.  Basically it is creatine that is bonded with water molecules.  By ingesting this type of creatine, you will obtain the effects of the supplement quicker and through a safer method as well.
