With summer here there are sure to be even more occasions for you to slip into your black dress and enjoy yourself. Although many women are sure to be putting on that black dress there are ways for you to set yourself apart. Dress up your little black dress and have fun with it. Whoever said that once you dress yourself up you have to be done? When dressing up your black dress there are different areas that you can be creative with to let your personality shine through. You can dress up your black dress by adding accessories to the dress itself and of course with other accessories as well.

We'll start with dressing up your black dress itself. Using a sash with your dress is great for adding texture, color and shape as well as a good way to maximize your own body shape. With a plain black dress it is best to use sashes with really bright colors, large and intricate patterns and deep textures just as wide grooves or raised prints if you are looking to stand out and make a loud statement. For work parties or occasions when you want to look a bit more professional or calmer, try using pastel colors and patterns with a smaller scaling. Tying your sash in different ways is also a great way to dress up your black dress. Try tying your sash in the front for a more attention drawing style, to the side off of one of your hips for a more chic style or in a large bow in the back for a more traditional and feminine style.
