If you happen to have a basement then you may want to think about setting up a play room down there. Even if you do not have a finished basement there are ways that you can set it up for tons of fun. First make sue that your basement is carpeted, so that the little ones do not get hurt. Next you will need a few small children tables, which you can find at any children’s toy store, for very little money. Then you can set up play stations that happen to be very similar to the way that school is. This will definitely help when your child is ready to start school. You can try making each play center fun and educational. For example one center can be set up for play dough. Put out a few jars of play dough and some accessories, along with a drop cloth on the floor to avoid getting any play dough in your carpet. For another station you can set up a kitchen area, where they can pretend to cook goodies. Use your imagination when it comes to the various play areas. Remember the more creative that you are the more creative the children will be.
