These are bits and pieces of what was heard here and there about the Democratuc race:Someone asked an interesting question: "Can someone explain something to me? Why is Obama constantly described as the 'first black' candidate for the presidency?" This person went on to say, "Isn't he just as much Caucasian as he is black?" Another comment, "At last we have a chance to help realize Martin Luther King's dream that one day this nation will rise up and live the true meaning of its creed: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal." There were others, however, who indicated that if Obama wants their vote, he better put Clinton on his ticket. They were very disappointed that Clinton lost the race.
Another remark heard was, "I don't think Obama would want a woman to tell him what to do. I think he would resent it. He would rather make his own decisions. That brought out an interesting thought. Does his wife tell him what to do. Will we find out?
Then there were opinions about Clinton expressed here an there. "Why couldn't Clinton be more gracious when she made her concession speech?" There were other remarks such as: She should be able to accept her loss. She should help unify the Democratic party. All she did was to help split it. As I listened to these comments, I thought to myself, well, you can understand her disappointment. I thought she recouped fast enough, and many people felt the same way when they stated that she was very haumanly when she reacted to her defeat.
When some of those who voted for Clinton was asked if they will vote for Obama in the final election, their starch answer was, "no." They were angry that Clinton didn't get the vote, and as one lady announced, " I wanted Clinton. Now, I'm not going to vote at all."
And finally one person felt that Hillary doesn't have to be the vice-president to help the Democrats win, but it would help if she helped her party win against McCain.
Well, the answer to all of this discussion will come in November!!!!
