Randy Jackson Presents: America's Best Dance Crew Season 2

Who Will Follow the JabbaWockeeZ as Champions of America's Best Dance Crew?

America's Best Dance Crew Season 2 videos are now available on the internet. During the live auditions, the dance crews for season two were narrowed down to Phresh Select, Sass Times 7, Boogie Bots, A.S.I.I.D., Xtreme Dance Force, So Real Crew, Distorted X, Super Cr3w, Fanny Pack
 and Supreme Soul.

Season Two of America's Best Dance Crew, presented by Randy Jackson, begins with the season premiere on Thursday, June 19th at 10p.m./9 central on MTV. In the first season, JabbaWockeeZ outperformed Status Quo in the finals to take home the honor of America's Best Dance Crew. The theatrical JabbaWockeeZ also fended off Kaba Modern and the last women left in the competition on the way to winning the crown of season one's America's Best Dance Crew.

For Season Two, the crews competing in the dancing competition break down like this:

Phresh Select - East Coast - Philadelphia, PA - The all male crew Phresh Select seems a little raw, but also seem to have potential.

Sass Times 7 - East Coast - Piscataway, NJ - The female dance troupe Sass Times 7 may be reminiscent of cheerleaders, but is that a good or a bad thing? They're definitely a tall group of girls fresh out of college.

Boogie Bots - East Coast - Washington D.C. - The guys called Boogie Bots displayed a signature ending in the live auditions, which could prove useful in helping them advance from round to round.

A.S.I.I.D. - Midwest - Detroit, MI - The co-ed troupe A.S.I.I.D. has one member, Joey, who can't even hear the music he dances to, but you wouldn't know it if you watched them dance. Truly inspirational.

Xtreme Dance Force - Midwest - Naperville, IL - The all boy group Xtreme Dance Force is determined to shed their reputation since they are from the suburbs.

So Real Crew - South - Houston, TX - The co-ed dance crew So Real Crew has choreography that is definitely "So Real."

Distorted X - South - Houston, TX - The co-ed dance troupe Distorted X has a strong group of girls that can help them advance from round to round of season two.

Super Cr3w - West Coast - Las Vegas, NV - The b-boy guys Super Cr3w can hold it down, even in the strongest ABDC region - the west side.

Huh, doesn't do much for me since I'm not into celebrity, reality shows, or television... but wanted to let you know I'd popped by and gave it a read.

Ak Jefferson said: "I am compelled to write in and state how extremely dismayed I was to see that a circle in the lower left corner had been introduced with the dancers giving editorial comments as the group is dancing." I, too, was disappointed to notice reruns of episodes sometimes had this "feature." Fortunately, the original airings do not include the feature and, interestingly enough, some reruns also do not include the feature. IMO, the feature makes it unwatchable as you can not hear the music and can not fully see the dancing.

I loved Season 1 and looked forward with great anticipation to Season 2 although my favorite group Status Quo did not win although they were obviously beaten by the better group. Not being a person who generally writes in and comments on how shows are produced I am compelled to write in and state how extremely dismayed I was to see that a circle in the lower left corner had been introduced with the dancers giving editorial comments as the group is dancing. I can see the importance of this after a crew has danced and they are being reprised, but this is greatly distracting when during the initial act is on stage and one is trying to see the entire group and its routine. I do not find this to my edification and will not continue to watch a show that I had thought to be very timely when it has such a diverting element.

In season one, Status Quo used chairs with rubber, stretchy chords attached. Also, people have used hats, handkerchiefs and such. And then there's the scenery stuff they've had at times. I'm not sure exactly what you have in mind when you refer to props though. A mini-trampoline maybe?

I wonder if they will ever bring in props to make things more interesting....kind of like how American Idol now allows guitar and piano's.
