Father's day does not seem to get the same attention as Mother's day. But we need to remember that our fathers are a very important part of our family just like our mothers are important. Dads are kind of like the unsung hero.

But this year let's take the time and tell Dad thank you for everything he has done for us. Can you think of anything special that you can do for Dad? I am going to try and give you some ideas of some great craft ideas to get you started on giving your Dad a special father's day he will remember for a while.

1.) How about making your Dad a homemade Father's day card? There are so many different ways to make a card; you can use a picture of you and dad together, decorate with stickers, or draw a picture with markers or crayons, use stampers to decorate or put a picture you have colored inside for him.

2.) Make a picture frame for your Dad Again this has several variations in making this; you can buy a wooden craft frame, a foam board craft frame, or simple cardboard; you can paint, use stamp pads, markers, and you can put a picture of you, you and dad together, or a picture you have made special for Dad.

3.) How about making Dad a door hanger? This is a sign you can put something cute on it like; "Do Not Disturb; Dad at Work" or "Caution; Daddy napping" this can be done on foam board or cardboard also. markers and stamp pads are better to use for this project. You can get pictures from magazines, books, or Internet, maybe even clip art, you could ask Mom to help you get pictures of dad and use them on your sign. You could get as creative as you want.

4.) This is a computer project. look up on the computer how to print free certificates and awards and create a "Worlds greatest Dad award or a Father of the Year award" and print it up. You could even ask Mom about framing it up for Dad.

5.) maybe your Dad would prefer some pampering or a special treat like Breakfast in bed. Sometimes it is the little things that mean the most to Moms' and Dads' .

*Now something else to remind all of you about, Don't forget all the Grandpas out there, They are Daddies' too and need to be remembered.

To Everyone, happy Father's day!!!
