Conservatives often deride Hollywood as liberal. And it is. But every once in awhile, something still gets made that conservatives can enjoy and appreciate--and so can just about everyone. However, here's 19 movies that conservatives in particular will greatly enjoy.Cinderella Man - This boxing movie about real-life former Heavyweight champion James J. Braddock not only demonstrates the value of hard work and perseverance, it also subtly chides government handouts. During one scene, Braddock returns to a government office to return government funds he'd received earlier in the movie.
Expelled - Ben Stein stars in this controversial documentary. He investigates the childish suppression of any mention of the theory of intelligent design by militant evolutionists who could care less about free speech or free inquiry.
Indoctrinate U - Evan Coyne Maloney stars in this documentary which highlights liberal bias on college campuses. Maloney's a talented documentarian; maybe conservatives will have their answer to Michael Moore as he grows in his craft.
Mine Your Own Business - The full title of this documentary is, "Mine Your Own Business: A Documentary About the Dark Side of Environmentalism." The documentary explores the opposition by environmentalists of mining projects in impoverished villages that would provide people with jobs and the means of survival. It demonstrates how environmentalists have a tendency to disregard the welfare of human beings if it doesn't fit their agenda.
The Incredibles - Yes, this is a Pixar movie designed for kids, but, hey, Pixar movies are always amazing. This one in particular holds a special place in my heart. In the movie, people endowed with special superpowers are forced to ignore their powers and pretend like they're as normal as everyone else. But the message of the movie is that if you've got talent, use it! One chilling line from the villain in the movie goes, "And when everyone's Super, no one will be."
