Pinecone Research Now Threatens Legal Action
Against Survey Takers Spreading Word
Those who are members of the elite group of Pinecone Research now are faced with this at the end of their surveys "As a reminder, you have agreed to maintain the confidentiality of the information that you saw within this interview which includes the description of the product idea. This means you are not allowed to describe this survey content to others outside of your immediate household. You may not post this information online in chat rooms or blogs, print, download or otherwise copy this information without breaching this agreement. Sharing outside any information related to this survey is grounds for legal action."Normally it would just be a reminder that you are not permitted to share the info with others about your testing. But when Pinecone Research redesigned their website, it appears as though Pinecone redesigned their terms.
It's annoying the hassles this company puts it's users through. First you have to hunt down the banner to join, then you have a chance of being selected and often times if you don't meet enough of their needs after being a member, they conveniently misplace your account. When you email in asking about the problem they claim you have to find a Pinecone banner and sign up again, with of course no guarantee they will accept you back. Yet this is the most stable survey company out there with checks or paypal payments of $5.00 a week. Not to mention all the projects you get to test if you are in the age range of 18 - 24.
Pinecone forces you to find the Pinecone Research banner location. After clicking the Pinecone banner and signing up for Pinecone Research, you should hear back within 48 hours. If Pinecone fails to reply you haven't been accepted, you will need to find the Pinecone banner location and apply for Pinecone Research again.
The Pinecone Research emails always come from scott@pineconeresearch.co.uk, scott@pineconeresearch.com, scott@pineconeresearch.ca, scott@pineconeresearch.de all depending on what country you are from. They announce that you have been selected to take part in project number 123-123. They ask you to log onto the website and access the survey.
