Common Household Chemicals - What You Don't Know Can Hurt You!

Warning! What You Are About to Read May Be Disturbing

Why did 3 year old Jason Whitley die after swallowing three ounces of hair conditioner? It took two agonizing weeks for the ammonia in this product to kill this little boy.

Did 7 month old Adrian Gonzales have to die? Crawling through spilled bleach, he suffered third degree burns on 50% of his body. He also burnt his lungs and after four days of suffering , he died.

Those were just a two examples of what toxic chemicals, such as ammonia and bleach, can do to our babies. There are 5-10 million household poisonings reported annually. I surely don't want to be in that number. Thank God, now I don't have to. I made my home toxin free!!

Sometimes it has to happen to us before we 'get it'. Don't let YOUR family fall victim to a poisonous encounter that can be avoided! Look at these facts about the average, everyday toxins we have in our homes and the dangers they cause.

More children under the age of four die of accidental poisonings at home than are accidentally killed with guns at home." - National Safety Council

Of the chemicals commonly found in homes, 150 have been linked to allergies, birth defects, cancer, and psychological abnormalities." - Consumer Product Safety Commission

After analyzing 2,983 chemicals used in personal care products, 884 were found to be toxic. - National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health

Indoor air pollution is one of the most important environmental health problems. -Environmental Protection Agency in a report to congress

What we DON'T know CAN hurt us! That is why I have provided the above facts for you. I am truly grateful that someone told me how to get rid of the toxins in my home. All I do is re-direct my monthly household spending to NON-TOXIC products! You can too!!

Yes I notice a tremendous difference. I cannot hardly go into a newly cleaned public restroom anymore. It about kills me.

Wow! I knew products like bleach and ammonia were toxic, but I never knew that something as simple as hair conditioner could be, as well! It is true that nowadays, if you pick up a bottle of just about anything, there are chemicals listed that are hardly able to be pronounced. Natural cleaning products are great and much safer, and little do most people know, many can and do disinfect and kill bacteria and viruses in the home without the danger of toxicity/poisoning.

Good article. As someone who has suffered multiple chemical sensitivities for years, and who gets sick just walking through the household cleaner section in the store, I am always glad to see more education on this subject.

Thanks Heather, I plan on doing further research. I believe we need to be informed of the dangers that are so easily over looked. Again, thanks.

Thanks for the article. Even though I thought I knew the dangers of chemicals in the home, I learned something new. Conditioner as a huge danger is very scary. You should definitely do a follow-up with more information!

Hi Katy, I guess you could say I'm your sponsor. Anyway I wanted to check out how your first article turned out. As a mother of 2 little girls I was gripped by your article. I hope others read it and realize the dangers their children can be in at home if cleaning agents aren't properly stored away. Best Wishes, Alicia Bodine
