The Prestige is a Blockbuster Hit with Audiences

A brilliant, star-studded cast headlines this amazing adventure that follows the duel of two magicians in turn-of-the-century London. The movie’s premise follows the basic formula of any great magic trick: First, the magician gives the audience a glimpse of the ordinary, which is called “The Pledge.” Next, the ordinary becomes extreme and unimaginable. This is known as “The Turn.” However, as Cutter [played brilliantly by Michael Caine] tells us “if you’re looking for the secret…you won’t find it, that’s why there’s a third act…” This leaves us with “The Prestige,” which bends and twists our belief and leaves us with an astonishment that only makes us want to see it again.
