How to Easily Make Your Own Coloring Pages
In the book of Genesis it doesn't say which day of the week God created Crayola but I'm pretty sure it was sometime between Day 1 and Day 6 because children have been coloring with crayons since the dawn of time. If your kids love coloring it is actually
possible to find coloring pages on the internet so you can print out your own coloring pages instead of buying coloring books. What I'm going to show you how to do though is to make your own coloring pages. This is extremely simple to do.
To make these coloring pages I am going to use a program called Paint.net. If you want to use this program as well then I have good news for you, it's free to download. Paint.net is basically a Photoshop clone so it does almost all the same things Photoshop does. If you already own Photoshop then you can also make coloring pages with Photoshop but you will have to find out the name of the effect I'm going to use.
Making coloring pages is as easy as this:
Make Your Own Coloring Pages Step 1: Find Your Picture
First you need to find the picture you are going to use. Think of something your child enjoys whether it's a television show, video game or movie and search for it on Google
Make Your Own Coloring Pages Step 2: Download Your Picture
Once you have found the picture that you want to use save it to your computer in a folder that you will remember.
Make Your Own Coloring Pages Step 3: Open Your Picture
Use Paint.net or Photoshop and select File and then Open. Then navigate to the folder where you saved the picture and choose to open the picture.
Make Your Own Coloring Pages Step 4: Pencil Sketch
Once your picture is open you are going to go to the Effects section at the top and choose Artistic. Under Artistic there should be an option that says Pencil Sketch and you want to select that (again Photoshop should have this same effect but I'm not sure if it is called the same thing.)
Basically what this effect does is it makes your picture look like a pencil drawing. The effect will take out all the color in the picture and leave just the black lines, making it look like a coloring page.
