Happening Spots on the Cowley County Community College Campus

The main Cowley County Community College Campus is located in south central Kansas in Arkansas City. The Campus teaches more than one thousand students at any given semester during the year. You can also take summer classes on the main campus as well as any of their out reach sites throughout the south-central Kansas area.

The Tiger Deli is the local hangout for the college kids at Cowley County Community College. At any time of the day, you will find many of the students hanging out between classes and after classes socializing with new found friends. Some of the local college kids and a dorm resident manager run the Tiger Deli from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8pm Monday thru Friday.

Here at the Tiger Deli they also serve the students lunch items such as hamburgers, hotdogs, fries, drinks, pizza, and a various other edible items. Here at the deli, the students can also study, watch a big screen television, use the computer room to search the internet or wander over to the game room to play various games with friends.

While at the Tiger Deli building, students can also visit the campus counselor or the nurse. While the Tiger Deli and The Underground are in the same building, a student can go to the Underground to work on class work on their network of computers or students can be tutored by other students who work their way through college by tutoring other students.

You will also find students at the Campus library studying and working on even more school projects. At the Campus library they also have rooms for students to study in a more peaceful environment.

For those that wish to work out while at college they also have a full sized gym with the latest in work out equipment. Many of the school’s athletes use the gym to help keep in shape during the off seasons as well as during the season. You can also find volleyball, basketball, track, baseball, and softball teams practicing throughout the campuses athletic areas.
