I work out of my home so I spend a lot of time at my desk in my office chair. I consider it the most important piece of furniture that I own. When I'm not comfortable, I'm much less productive and that, in turn, has consequences on the rest of my life. Knowing and understanding this, I am more than willing to put a little extra effort and money into making sure that the office chair I use is suitably comfortable. If it were just a matter of finding an office chair that I could sit in for hours each day, there wouldn't be too much of a problem. After all, that's one of the things that everyone wants and the manufacturers know this. However, there is another variable that needs to be introduced to this equation. I have cats. Please don't misunderstand me. I love my cats, and they love me. In fact, they love me so much that they want to rub their furry little bodies over everything I touch. If they're feeling extra affectionate, they might just honor me by taking out their claws and "petting" the furniture. I wish that I had photographs to show people what they have done to some of my previous office chairs. They literally "loved" them to death. After holding a small funeral for the ripped, furry, stuffing-depleted object that was my last office chair, I decided to do some research to see if I could find a new one that would be sturdy enough to take all the attention it was sure to receive.
