Pregnancy is a very exciting time in a woman's life. Even through the nausea, hemorrhoids, constipation, and leg cramps there is a sense of excitement and feelings of joy. In 9 short months, although it may feel like much longer at times, you will be holding a beautiful baby boy or girl and your entire life will change.

The first few weeks of pregnancy can be very tough on some women. I happen to be one of these women. The first few weeks of all three of my pregnancies were filled with nausea and vomiting, headaches, and constipation. As a sufferer of these symptoms I have received a plethora of medical and non-medical advice. If you suffer from any of these symptoms, the following facts and tips might help you out. Although there are ways to help alleviate the uncomfortable side effects of pregnancy, they may not always work for you as what works for one person may not work for another. Also, please consult a trusted medical professional before trying any of these. All pregnancies are different and yours may not be able to accommodate certain remedies.

Nausea and Vomiting

Morning sickness is a well known side effect in the first trimester of pregnancy. Most women expect to feel sick during this time, but many don't expect for the intensity to vary or to feel sick at different times during the day. The deceiving name of "morning sickness" has nothing to do with the time of day. It is very possible that you will feel sick upon waking in the morning, and it is very possible that the feeling may follow you through the rest of your day.
