The thought of sharing someone's candy bar has always remained pleasant in our minds; the same thing goes for the internet term of file-sharing. What is "File-Sharing" you may ask? Why it's self explanatory. It is the process of an online user sharing his/her mp3s, movies, or computer programs over a Peer-To-Peer (p2p) network or Torrent Network. Some of the most recognized p2p networks are Limewire, Kazaa, Acquisition, and Bearshare. Some Torrent networks are known as bitTorrent, BitComet, Azerus, Demenoid, The Pirate Bay, and TorrentShare. Now since the dawn of these programs, the FBI has been trying to shut them down. The only reason why they have remained online is because they are considered "Sharing" programs, not "stealing. And since sharing isn't illegal, I believe we should keep Torrents and p2p networks legalized.

There are three kinds of online groups associated with the act of Piracy. They would be Torrents, Warez, and p2p networks. The torrents and p2p networks are the most popular ways of getting music, movies and computer programs. They also have a lower risk of getting in trouble with the FBI and Music Industries because their primary focus is sharing files, not stealing them. Whereas, Warez make you pay a membership fee to download their "Hacked" content. The people behind the Warez are the true thieves. They get paid to hack and steal music, movies, and programs, then upload them either to Torrents or p2p networks and mainly their Warez websites.

Now most of the programs you will find on the file-sharing networks and Torrent Sites aren't always put there legally. They could've been stolen. Though, there is no way to tell if they are or aren't unless they have an online receipt of their product. Limewire has a feature in which the User can post such a thing, bringing comfort and security to the User.
