Paparazzi haunt them. Tabloids expose them. Fans drive them crazy.

Who are they?

CELEBRITIES.

In a time where everything you do is viewable 24/7 via the Internet, the life of a celebrity is overexposed.

You cannot turn on a television, or open a newspaper or magazine without headlines blaring the adventures of yet another star.

"Britney Spears Dines With Mom". "Beyoncé Knowles Suffers Wardrobe Malfunction". "Foxy Brown Charged with Assault - Again!", are just some of the headlines we've been inundated with over the last year.

We knew when J-Lo was pregnant, and Amy Winehouse was out of rehab. The word on the street about Brad Pitt and Angelina's wedding came before they probably knew about it. Any and every move is "captured on film" and aired on shows like "The Insider", "HollywoodTV.com", and "Inside Edition" for all of the world to see anytime they want.

Answer me this...Why should I care?!

I don't. Truly, I don't care.

So what if Janet Jackson's boob popped out during the SuperBowl? Big deal if Pam Anderson and latest boyfriend are together or not!

None of what these people do will pay my bills, change the way I vote, or even weigh in the thoughts as to how I dress. As far as I am concerned - they are not all that special.

I do appreciate the talents these people display. Actors/actresses, singers/dancers...great entertainers they very well may be. But if it were not for those like myself who watch them in movies, sing in concerts or speak on TV talk shows, they would be just like me. A nobody with my own life to live.

If anything, they should pay me, in many cases, to watch them perform. Seriously. The price of a concert ticket can be as high as a car payment.

Think about it...Miley Cyrus is about to appear in Utah in July. The tickets range from $35.00 to $120.00.

$120.00 for one ticket! What if you have two or more children that want to go to this concert?

And that's just to get into the show. Don't forget souvenirs, food and drink. And yes, there is gas.

Have you seen the price of a gallon of gasoline? $4.00 and more for one gallon, and it takes more than that to go anywhere.
