There exists a small, but fun to play instrument that has survived for ages. This instrument, the harmonica, is known as one of the simplest instruments to play, but also one of the most difficult to master. While most anyone can grab a harmonica and blow into it and produce a decent sounding noise (unlike other instruments like the trumpet), most people have little to no knowledge of how to play the harmonica and produce actual notes to an actual tune. Since most areas do not have actual professional harmonica teachers, it can be a bit frustrating to the beginner who is trying to pick up this fun and ever-so-portable instrument. Fortunately, technology combined with the internet has made the art of mastering the harmonica a no longer far-fetched goal.

For the complete beginner harmonica player, go to J. P. Allen's harmonica webpage, where he offers free video tutorials that outline the basic and most important part of harmonica training: breathing and proper placement of the harmonica in your mouth. J. P. Allen also offers special discounts on his videos and materials that further teach you harmonica skills that you may wish to purchase if you feel the need to make a monetary investment in your training. While I am sure that his products are very beneficial to the struggling harmonica player, I still believe that the free material offered to viewers on his website regarding basic breathing techniques is one of the most crucial areas of harmonica to master.
