Mystery Science Theater 3000, A.K.A. MST3K to hardcore fans, was a show that lives on, even though it was canceled a few years ago.  MST3K was about a guy who was shot into space and forced to watch really old, stinky movies.  While in space, he built several robots, and two of those robots are Tom Servo and Crow T Robot.  These two robots watched the movies at first with the host Joel and then with Mike J. Nelson, who later took over the show.  This show rocked, that's why it still lives on.  There are sites devoted to MST3K and have been since the show first started in 1988.  It's hard for anyone who loves movies to not appreciate this show.  All movie fans make fun of stinky films.  We've all watched horror films and yelled at the screen when a character does something stupid, like running up the stairs.  This was what MST3K was all about; making fun of movies.  Hardcore fans loved MST3K then and still love it now.  So what do you get these fans?  What makes a perfect gift for the MST3K fan?

1.    Mystery Science Theater 3000 Episode Guide.  This is a must have gift for true MST3K fans.  This episode guide came out at the same time as Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie did.  This guide contains 100 episodes all from the years that the show was on Comedy Central.  This gift also contains material from the writers, performers, and so much more.  Every MST3K fan should have this gift.

2.    Tom Servo's All Time Favorite Host Segments DVD.  This is a great DVD because it also includes Poopie 1, which is collection of bloopers from the show.  The bloopers from MST3K are great.  You see the robots catch on fire, the set fall apart, and so much more.  This DVD is over 2 hours in length and only $15.

Great Ideas!! Amy. I am an avid fan. I love the show!!! Forget about giving them away for presents. I'm going to get them myself for Christmans. I already have the Rifftrac. Did you know that you can see the old episode on UTube for free? Just type in Mystery theater 3000 and they almost all of them. The best thing about is they show the ones who haven't been converted to DVD yet. You should try it. Great article. Long Live MST3K!!! Bye

Terrific gift ideas. I've got the episode guide and I must say it's one of the funniest books I own. Be sure to read the author bios in the back, they are hysterical. And pay attention to the author photos attached to the bios, as well. May I also sugggest checking out alt.binaries.multimedia.mst3k newgroup for downloadable episodes that you can't get on the DVDs.
