Recipe for Non 7-Layer Bean Dip
Only 3 Ingredients!
Non 7-Layer Bean DipPreparation time: >10 Minutes
Cook Time: 20 Minutes
Serves 4
Eat with: Corn Chips, Tortilla Chips, Tortillas
Ingredients:
1 can of Refried Beans (use vegetarian refried beans to make this a vegetarian dish)
1 24oz jar of Salsa (mild works best since this is a non-spicy dish)
1 8oz "brick" of Cream Cheese (non- reduced fat works best)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 395 degrees
2. Spread the can of refried beans on the bottom of a 8x8 casserole dish. Set it aside for use in a moment
3. Using a mixer, combine half of the jar of salsa with the full brick of cream cheese. Mix until smooth and pink. If you have purchased chunky salsa, you may have some chunks of tomatoes or peppers
4. Pour the salsa/cream cheese mixture on top of the refried bean layer in the casserole dish
5. Bake on the top rack for 20 minutes
6. Pour the rest of the salsa on top of the salsa/cream cheese mixture
Can be served hot (slightly messy) or cold.
