Design and Architecture Senior High, or DASH for short, is a high quality art and design magnet school located in the design district north of downtown Miami Florida. The school is relatively new but has enjoyed huge success over its short period of activity. The school was ranked number one magnet school in the country and within the top 50 high schools in the US. The key to DASH's success is a mix of its small size and heavy focus on both academics and the arts.

All students attending Design and Architecture Senior High are required to take fine arts classes, including drawing, painting, two dimensional design and sculpture. Although this is a heavy load of art classes, it doesn't end there. Upon completing their first year, students are asked to select the design program they are most interested in pursuing. These design courses consist of Graphic Design, Film, Fashion Design, Architecture and Industrial Design. Students are expected, and required, to continue with their chosen design program for the remaining three years, as well as continue with their fine arts courses. With all these courses students are required to take, nothing has even been said for the academics. Each students is required to take a Math, English, Science, and History class for the majority of their four years at the institution. Students are also required to select electives, often within the area of art and design, to fill out their schedule to eight courses per year.
