A bathroom vanity can update your room in an instant. Replacing a bathroom vanity may seem harder than it seems, so many people settle on their old vanity, which may make the bathroom look dull and unappealing.

There are a lot of things to consider before replacing a bathroom vanity such as storage space, quality drawer slides and adequate bracing. It is a good idea to stay away from vanities that run on center-mounted slides because they are flimsy. Try to eliminate the use of wooden drawers as well because when your bathroom is humid, the wood will pucker and become enlarged. Stay clear of cheap drawers. The way to spot these is the drawers will be nailed together which means in a couple of years, it will fall apart.

Make sure you choose the right size vanity as well. To get a full understanding, you should measure your bathroom size and visit an appliance store such as Home Depot to have someone pick the best size suited for the room. For the best drawer slides, choose ball-bearing hardware. Replacing your bathroom vanity is quite simple and does not require any special gadgets or tools. Here is a guide to replacing a bathroom vanity:

Materials:

Knife or screwdriver

Screws

Wall studs

Vanity set

Instructions:

1. Turn off your water supply by disconnecting the supply lines. (Water should be turned off that runs to the sink). In the center of the curved pipe, remove the p-trap.

2. Now, you must loosen the caulk around the edges to remove the countertop. This can be achieved by loosening with a screwdriver or knife. Separate the countertop after the seal is broken. In addition, you will have to loosen the caulk that sets between the wall and vanity. This is so the vanity can be separated from the wall.

3. To loosen the vanity, softly rock the vanity in different directions. Do not go overboard with this method because you can easily damage your wall if your approach is too aggressive.

4. From the wall, remove all screws that hold the vanity. Now, the vanity should be fully separated from the wall. Move the vanity out of your way out of the bathroom.
