I would have never thought that my husband would actually like a low fat snack. We both love Oreo cookies and one day my Mother told me about Nabisco Oreo Thin Crisps Snacks. She said that they actually do taste like the real deal. I was a bit hesitant, not for myself but for my husband since I know his tastes and preferences. I decided to buy a box and give them a try.

The Nabisco Oreo Thin Crisps 100 calorie packs come in a box and there are six little plastic bags containing the wafers inside. Each bag weighs 23 grams and has only 15 calories from fat per serving and 8 grams of sugar with 19 grams of carbohydrates and less than 1 gram of dietary fiber.

Each crispy wafer is almost the size of a quarter and they are black with tiny specks of white on them. These crispy thin bites are octagon shaped and they taste exactly like an Oreo cookie. The only thing that is missing is the creamy filling in the middle.

When you bite into one of these you instantly taste that familiar Oreo flavor but if just pop one into your mouth and let it sit on your tongue and dissolve, this lets the chocolate flavor become more intense. I am really surprised at the amount of wafers that are in each bag. I was expecting there to be like only about 10 in each bag where instead there is about 12 - 14 pieces.

These are a hit with my husband. Every time before when he would go grab an Oreo cookie from the cookie jar he would twist off the cookie part and then toss away the other part of the cookie that had the creamy filling and only eat the crispy cookie side. Now with these snack wafers he only has the one part that he wants to eat anyway. He loves them and so do I.

Another great thing I like about these snack wafers is the fact that they are already perfectly portioned with one serving in each bag. This is a great way to help keep the amount of portions you eat under control. My husband takes a few bags of these to work everyday to snack on instead of the sweet sugary hard candy he would nibble on before.

I bought these at our local Wal-Mart Super center for $ 3.00. I definitely recommend these fun tiny snacks. They are light, crispy and airy and will satisfy any craving for chocolate that you may have.
