The Best Friday-After-Thanksgiving Sales in Orland Hills, Illinois are at Wal-Mart

Forget the mall, forget the strip malls, too. If you want to get bargains in the Tinley Park/Orland Hills/Orland Park area, you know where you have to go….Orland Hills Wal-Mart, located at 9265 West 159Th Street. But, and here you have to get there early - like
6 a.m. And when the doors open, you need to ready to rush in for the specials, most of which will be unadvertised.

That's what's so great about Wal-Mart on Black Friday. If you have the patience and the fortitude to shop with the crowds on the day after Thanksgiving, you can get such bargains like I did last year. Like DVD/Video recorders for $50. Individual DVD players for $60. Nice ones; that you couldn't get anywhere else for less than $125. Camcorders and other electronics. Actually, you can get just about anything you want in this store except liquor. And during the course of the day, they will be announcing "specials" where the already reduced price is reduced even more.

You will get most of the special bargains in the electronics and toys departments. Which is where most of the gift buying takes place, anyway. I guarantee you that you will not find any of your items cheaper anywhere else.

No, I'm not an employee. I don't even own stock in the company. But I'm a single mom with two kids to support. And I like to get the most for my money. People are always complaining about our Wal-Mart (and pretty much all Wal-Marts). It's crowded and always messed up. The shoppers are said to be, well….shall we say, less than classy. But here's the thing: You don't have to move in there. You don't have to clean the place and you don't have to marry any of your fellow shoppers. You just have to shop and get the most bang for your buck. I can never understand why anyone would pay more for the same product from a different store (and it's usually a substantial bit more) simply because they don't like Wal-Mart. Or why anyone would even attempt to go the mall, which is, although festive, pleasant and clean, is a virtual nightmare when it comes to crowds and parking at any time during the Holiday season.
