Semi Homemade Finger Foods for Your Christmas Party

Easy and Fast Foods for a Party

I love throwing an annual Christmas party for friends and family. Over the years though I have realize there is no reason to make everything from scratch. I have a few simple recipes that happen to be from scratch. For the most part a
lot of my Christmas party recipes are semi pre made at the grocery store. This is a great way to save time, but still look like you went to a lot of effort.

My first quick time saving Christmas Party recipe uses store bought meatballs. Everyone loves meatballs. If I had to make this recipe with homemade meatballs I would be stuck in the kitchen forever!

1 bag of meatballs (about 2 lbs)
1 jar of grape jelly
1 jar of chili sauce
1 Can of pineapple chunks in syrup

Now, all you have to do is add your entire ingredients to a crock-pot. Let it sit on high for 4 hours and you are ready! If you are in a hurry you can heat all of the ingredients except the meatballs in a pot on the stove. Then pour in the meatballs and stir them to coat. Only cook this Christmas party finger food on medium though because the meatballs are pre cooked!

Chili sauce comes in a jar like ketchup. You can actually find it in most grocery stores on the ketchup aisle.

Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

OK, so this recipe is so simple that you do not even need anything semi store made.

1 bunch of asparagus
1 pound of smoky bacon

Wash and clean your asparagus. Break off the tough ends. This is about an inch from the end. Now, wrap two asparaguses one piece of bacon. Set it on a foil lined cookie sheet. Bake this at 400 degrees until the bacon is crispy and brown. This one is a huge hit at any party and so easy.

Tips: To save time on the day of you Christmas party you can make this simple Christmas party finger food recipe ahead of time. Go ahead a place them on their cookie sheet, then wrap in plastic. Set the whole thing in the fridge for up to a day or two. Take it out an hour before you are going to bake and let the finger foods come to room temperature. Now, bake as usual.

Make Your Own Nacho Bar
