Paved with Good Intentions by C. S. Lewis Book Review

Book Review: "Paved With Good Intentions" By C. S. Lewis

This book is the best of segments from a larger book by C. S. Lewis known as "The Screwtape Letters".

If you think C. S. Lewis only wrote books geared toward children you are mistaken, "Paved With Good Intentions" is a must read for any adult, and even more mature young adults, if you're a Christian or even spiritually inclined in anyway pick up a copy of this book
it will change how you view the church, the world and most importantly your own life! This book is less than 100 pages long so you could read it in less than a week, but you may want to read it again and again just to let it sink in.

"Paved With Good Intentions" is written from a demons point of view, it is the field manual and journal kept by Wormwood the nephew of the demon Screwtape. This book points out how the devils minions deceive humans every day with out them even knowing it. Wormwood chronicles how to use the church against a person, how to use their loved ones, their neighbors, and even themselves to destroy a human life and their faith.

Just in the first chapter of the book I found several points that struck home in my own life, and church life. At first the book is confusing, since it is written from a demons point of view God is referred to as "The Enemy" and Satan is referred to as "Our Father", so as soon as you get past that stumbling block the book is and easy read.

So pick up a copy of this book, or check it out from your local library and get prepared for spiritual warfare, since you now have access to a demons playbook on how they plan to destroy you.

God Bless and safe reading.
