Pike County, Ohio will be quite busy on Black Friday (which is what experts call the Friday after Thanksgiving). Everybody will be out early ready to start their holiday shopping. If you are planning on heading into Pike County (which includes Waverly and Piketon, Ohio) that morning here are a few tips to help you.

1. Get to the sales early, yet not too early. The busiest place in town will be the Wal-Mart Super Store. The store is located at 900 W. Emmitt Avenue. This Wal-Mart is open 24 hours a day. But the Blitz sale (the sale the day after Thanksgiving) will begin at six a.m. on the dot. The managers and sales staff of this store will not allow early sales of their Blitz items. The items that will be on sale will not be uncovered or unboxed until exactly at six am. For this reason, you shouldn't come too early. You just need to be there in time to get a parking place and be inside the store by six a.m. If you can't make it early, don't worry too much. Wal-Mart usually carries a lot of their sales items. They have even been known to bend the rules and still sale the merchandise that was suppose to be sold during the Blitz for the Blitz sales price as long as they have the merchandise in stock. But that doesn't mean they will continue to do this every year. Each year management does change. So if you can make the early morning sale and have your eye on something you saw in their Blitz circular, the best thing is to get up and start shopping early.

2. Another great place to shop in Pike County is Gary Discount Outlet they are located at 533 S. West St. Piketon, Ohio. This store has daily and weekly specials. But on Black Friday they are known to have some really great sales. They open at 9 am and stay open until 8 pm. You should come early for the best deals. They have limited stock of some of the best priced items.
