Do you love to cover your refrigerator with cool magnets? Do you enjoy arts and crafts? Do you love lady bugs? If you enjoy any of those things this project I am going to tell you about is just for you, and is really fun and easy to do.

Now I know most of you out there buy your refrigerator magnets from craft stores, craft fairs, and anywhere else you can find them. I know some of you may pick up magnets with funny quotes or sayings, and even cute little animals wearing a hat or a pair of boots, but my all time favorite magnets are insects such as bumble bees and lady bugs.

When I was out shopping I couldn't seem to find bumble bee or lady bug magnets anywhere, but I did find 3D lady bug and bumble bee stickers and got the idea to buy some and turn them into refrigerator magnets. All I need to do was grab some peel and stick magnetic circle magnets from the crafts store and apply them to the back of the 3D stickers and then I would have my bumble bee and lady bug magnets. The magnets came out great and look like I bought them from a craft store.

Now if you want to make refrigerator magnets yourself you don't just have to use 3D lady bug and bumble bee stickers, you could use anything such as 3D birds, butterflies, or frogs. Then all you would have to do is grab some magnetic circle sticky magnets or some small magnetic strips from a craft store or hardware store and shape and size them to fit on the backs of your 3D stickers. Once you have your 3D stickers and magnets just peel the paper side of the magnet and stick it to the 3D stick and you then you will have a 3D kitchen magnet. Pretty simple to do and a great project to do with children because its really mess free.

So you know how to make a simple kitchen magnet for your refrigerator, so stop buying them at craft stores. Making your own kitchen magnets are cheap simple and easy to do and they will look and hold up better than craft store ones. I hope you all enjoy doing this little project!

Takeaways
  • Make your own magnets are simple and fun to do!
  • You can turn 3D Stickers into kitchen magnets!

Great article! The next in the series? Any ideas of what to do with all those pictures the neighborhood kids won't let you put away? Much less the magnets that multiply to hold all these drawings, lol? Heck, I don't have to worry about a diet, I have so many works of art from my friends' kids, I can't find the fridge. Ha Ha
