Having worked with children in many situations over the past seven years, I have discovered that there is no clear cut way to reach every child one encounters. There are as many ways to reach and teach a child as there are children in this world. Because of this, managing a classroom of thirty children may seem overwhelming. Doing so is not, however, impossible. In saying this, it should be clear that standardized testing, which boils all children down to numbers without evaluating each child personally, should not be the focus of childhood education. Each child in this world is an individual, and due to this they should be free to learn and explore the world in whichever way they feel comfortable. As a future educator, it is my goal to make all children feel intelligent and confident in themselves, not only in their daily education, but through every obstacle they face as they grow and mature.
