Vice President Dick Cheney's Devious Idea

Vice President Dick Cheney was pacing at the Vice President's Residence when he called for his personal assistant. "Smithers, come here!"

"Yes Mr. Cheney. What would you like?"

"I want you to put out a press release that I am alarmed that the Chinese are drilling for oil off the coast of Cuba."

"But sir, the information is wrong. The Chinese are not drilling for oil"

"How about the Russians?"

"No sir."

"The French?"

"No again"

"How about the Iranians?"

"I think that you are getting off base sir."

"Well listen Smithers, someone has to be drilling for oil off the coast of Cuba just 60 miles from Florida."

"I have it sir. How about if we say that it was Homer Simpson?"

"Excellent idea. Put a press release out on this at once. Before long we'll being drilling for oil from coast to coast. Nothing will stop us now."
