Even though the word plod defined by Webster's dictionary means to walk heavily or slowly or to work laboriously and monotonously, a plodder builds a life of dependability even in the darkest of times. People may look at the life of a plodder and consider them unsuccessful because they may not be basking in the limelight but in due time he reaches his goals.

The Character of a Plodder

A plodder is faithful to himself and others. Once they start on a path, they keep heading towards an ultimate destination by consistency and constancy. He doesn't need outside help or coaxing to get to his destiny. He has vision and sees the end before the beginning. Even though he moves slowly, he leaves others in the dust when they have given up and start to whine for a living. A plodder keeps going when life is tough.

Where Is the Plodder?

Many people begin a project with good intentions but they are exhausted from the sprint. People may have high aspirations but if they need a cheering section just to stand they won't make it. Most people start and don't finish so they have a pile of unfinished business instead of achievements. Life does hand us challenges but the plodder goes right through. He is anchored and strengthened and remembers any mistakes so he reaches higher ground quicker. Difficult circumstances will ground him for the next steps.
