Pop Rocks is one of the controversial candies that I find to be cool. This is basically a carbonated candy that pops when the highly pressurized carbon dioxide gas trapped inside the hard sugar syrup candy comes in contact with the moisture in the mouth. It does not have a big bang effect, but I like the subtle sizzling pops that give a kind of tickly sensation. Some of them find it weird, but crazy headed guys like me like this aerated fizzy candy. At the same time, I would not like to have Pop Rocks regularly and this might be because I have crossed that adventurous age long back.

Some time back, I had a chance to taste a limited edition Pop rock candy and I couldn't retain its name. By the way it was not worth remembering. Recently, my friend told me about the Pop Rocks Milk Chocolate Bar and me being naturally a milk chocolate aficionado wanted to genuinely try this new combination. Without wasting any more time, I picked it up from Target and this is truly amazing. However, I won't consider it for my frequent chocolate fixation and that is purely because of the gas factor. Otherwise, it is ok though not extraordinary. All the initial excitement died after few days and now it has become just another milk candy. But, this is worth giving a try.

Pop Rocks Milk Chocolate Bar is a serious popping bar like the German Ritter Sport Bar and is not for the feeble hearts who are blissfully satisfied with Cadbury Popping Mini Eggs. Though the pouch seems to be flat like a typical Pop Rock candy, this one reminds me of Chunky and it is quite filling. A bar has three chubby segments. In my opinion, this is excessively sweet and I think this is intentionally done because the Pop Rocks are mainly targeted at kids. It is not sickeningly sweet, but the sweetness lingers in the mouth for long. There is nothing in particular to tell about quality of milk chocolate. It is good, like any average milk chocolate.
