If you want to make something beautiful, cheap, unique and stunning get some b-b's and we'll get busy! You may already have b-b's, but if not, you can purchase them at discount department stores or places that sell ammunition. B-b's generally come in two colors: silver and copper and are very inexpensive. For a couple bucks in b-b's you can make two or three nice pictures for your home. It's really easy if you start with a coloring book page. Something simple, like a picture of a doe, is ideal. Complicated pictures don't work as well for this project. Choose a flower, an umbrella, a tree shape or another simple picture.
Cut the picture out and glue it to a piece of cardboard. It's up to you how much larger the cardboard is than the picture. You may choose to mount the shape in the center of a huge piece of cardboard, or you might decide to cut the cardboard into the shape of the deer or other image. There are many different looks you can create.
Begin by covering the entire image with glue. Lay the b-b's in place on the image. Continue until you've covered the entire image with the b-b's. Since b-b's tend to roll you can create a temporary border around the image, using a piece of rope, to hold the b-b's in place until the glue dries. Or, you can create a real border, gluing the roping around the image.
Purchase frames that allow for dimensional items to be placed inside, like a shadow box, or use picture frames without their glass to frame the unique pictures. Many picture frames come with a piece of cardboard, cut to the size of the frame. If you want, use this piece of cardboard as the backing for your coloring book page image. Just glue the picture to this piece of cardboard then add the b-b's.
You can combine the silver and copper colored b-b's on the picture but you're limited to these colors. It's difficult - if not impossible - to paint the b-b's, since paint won't adhere to them easily. Still, you can use one color as the main color and the other shade as the decorative touches.
